Usage Tips for Maximum Effectiveness

Use at Night

The bug zapper is most effective at night when flying insects are attracted to the UV light.

Early Activation

Turn on 2-3 hours before sunset for 68% higher catch rates.

Reduce Competing Lights

Turn off or dim nearby lights to make the bug zapper more attractive to insects.

Optimal Height

Position 3-6 feet above the ground for best results.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  1. Unplug the device and wait for it to cool down completely.
  2. Remove the debris tray from the bottom of the unit.
  3. Dispose of dead insects from the tray.
  4. Use the cleaning brush to gently remove any debris from the electric grid.
  5. Wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
  6. Reassemble and plug back in.

Recommended: Clean weekly during peak insect season for optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

Light doesn't turn on

Check the power connection and ensure the outlet is working. Try a different outlet if necessary.

Not catching many insects

Ensure the device is placed in a dark area away from competing light sources. Try repositioning to a different location.

Weak zapping sound

The grid may need cleaning. Debris buildup can reduce effectiveness.

Unit making buzzing noise

A slight hum is normal. If the noise is excessive, unplug and contact customer support.
